Question Prince Charles and Lady Diana 1981 wedding decanter. Unopened

I have found this decanter in my closet and looking at getting rid of it. Its not got the box anymore, and also has a chip in the lid. Other than that its in really great condition. Its never been opened and still has the bells seal wrapped round the neck. the detail on the front is in mint condition.

its a 75cl bells scotch whisky

underneath it says

"WADE
COMMEMORATIVE PORCELAIN DECANTER FROM BELL'S SCOTCH WHISKY
PERTH SCOTLAND

75cl product of scotland 40%VOL"

Still full. was just wondering if anyone knows how much this would be worth roughly?

Thank You

THe Whisky Exchange has one and its 375 pounds sterling!
You'd have to deduct for the chip & no box.

Thank you. I wasn't expecting it to be that much brand new. I'm looking at selling it still so think i will try around the 200 mark if you think this is fair?

Only a potential buyer will say if its fair or not.
IMO - the value is in the container and not the contents so no box and the chip might hurt you.

Default Bells Charles and Diana in Box with Seal for Sale

Hello all,

I'm an new member and just came across this site today. I was able to inherit a large collection of Whisky, Cognac and other expensive alcohols and I need to find a way to sell these items.

I have found a Bells 1981 Charles and Diana Scotch/Whisky Full Decanter with Box and original seal. I found one on Whisky Exchange for @450 Pounds Sterling and my box is in a little better shape. I'm in California and don't know what I need to do in-order to sell this collection so any help would be appreciated.

I also have Remy Martin XO Excellence, Camus XO, Hennessey Napolean etc and much much more.

Thanks for your help and replies

Jeff

I have the Whyte & Mackay 12 Charles & Diana Decanter with Box in perfect condition.

These are becoming more rare as the years tick by. Crazy price ranges have been seen from 98 pounds to 499 pounds. Everything comes down to condition of the bottle and original packaging.

As someone else mentioned earlier the only price that's relevant is the price someone is willing to pay for it. Don't go by retail value. Contact a local auction house or someone like McTears or Bonhams. They both have valuation services.

Hi, I have one of these too, I'm located in Australia. It is in it's box unopened. I also have the same thing for Prince Andrew & Sarah Ferguson's wedding, same condition. Does anyone know where I could go to in Australia to sell it?

Nope but I imagine a specialist shop maybe interested...I do know some aussies who have sent to UK for auction...naturally your instantly giving away a fair chunk of any profit to the courier services.
